From Brodick:
Leaving the ferry terminal, turn right onto the main road through Brodick. Drive out of the town and keep to the right, following the coastal road (A841). Keep following the road for around 14 miles until you arrive in Lochranza.
Follow the main road past the distillery which is on your left as you enter the village. Turn right just before the church onto Newton Road. At the t-junction at the end of the road, turn right onto the gravel track. Butt Lodge is the third house on the right.
From Lochranza ferry terminal
Turn left when you come off the ferry. Follow the road through the village, past the castle. At the church, turn left onto Newton Road. At the t-junction at the end of the road, turn right onto the gravel track. Butt Lodge is the third house on the right.
Arriving by bus
The bus stops at the end of Newton Road. It takes under 10 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the house.
Please note
Access to Butt Lodge is via a gravel mountain access track shared with other houses, walkers (and deer!) The track was recently resurfaced at the end of May 2018, and now offers a passing place as well as a much smoother, wider surface. Please drive carefully on the track to avoid any damage to your car or collisions with the wildlife.
