The kitchen at Butt Lodge has everything you need to entertain in style. As well as enough cutlery, crockery and glassware for a full complement of guests, you will find a range of pans, utensils and dishes that will allow you to create anything from basic snacks, to an elaborate feast.
No country kitchen would be complete without a traditional Aga. The Lodge’s oil-fired Aga has four ovens and two hot plates which are ready to use at any time. It also has a standard electric oven, grill, and four-ring ceramic hob built in.
The kitchen has a large American-style fridge-freezer, a microwave and a selection of recipe books as well as plenty of space and seating for those who like some company while they cook.
One of the main attractions of Arran is the wealth of local products produced on the island: The kitchen at Butt Lodge is the perfect place to experiment with local specialties such as the island’s cheeses, mustard, chocolate or locally sourced meats.
To ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, all of our rooms are stocked with plenty of towels to last the week, a hairdryer, and a selection of products from Arran Aromatics.
Washing and drying facilities are available in the kitchen but there is an additional equipment store and drying room outside so your bikes, golf clubs and hiking gear will be dry and ready to go at the start of each day.
